The DermaCol Dressing creates ideal conditions for healing and protecting a variety of wound types. The flexible dressing transforms into a soft, cooling gel sheet when it comes in contact with wound exudate, making it comfortable and gentle on the skin. It's made with four key ingredients that work together to promote healing: sodium alginate, collagen, ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid (EDTA), and carboxylmethylcellulose (CMC). These ingredients absorb excess exudate, initiate healing and encourage granulation.
