This 4" x 4-3/4" sterile gelling fiber pad is composed of cellulose ethyl sulphonate fibers that rapidly form a soft, cohesive gel upon contact with wound fluid . The gel absorbs and locks exudate away from the wound, providing vertical absorption that helps prevent the spread of fluid to surrounding skin and minimizes the risk of peri-wound maceration . The dressing contains ionic silver, which provides sustained antimicrobial activity against a broad range of pathogens, including MRSA, with action starting within four hours

This Smith & Nephew dressing is designed for clinical reliability and patient comfort. The high integral wet strength of the gelling fiber allows for easy, one-piece removal from moist wound beds, minimizing trauma and pain during changes . It is indicated for a broad range of wounds including leg ulcers, pressure ulcers, diabetic ulcers, surgical wounds, and traumatic wounds with moderate to heavy exudate .
